The North Shore Sporting Car Club has announced initial details for the 2023 Lazer Rally of the Bay, which is scheduled to take place in July.

One of the most popular events on the New South Wales rally calendar, this year is shaping up to be one of the biggest and fiercely competitive editions of the event, with big names from around the country likely to enter.

Set in the beautiful Eurobodalla township of Batemans Bay, crews will contest 10 special stages in the picturesque region with fans welcome to watch the action unfold in front of the stunning backdrop of the town’s surrounding forests.

Over the course of the day, crews will tackle five individual stages with each to be repeated later in the event as crews get the choice to run either a pacenoted or roadbook.

Attracting a collection of professional, semi-professional and amateur drivers – the event is likely to welcome a full field with Bosch Motorsport Australia Rally Championship (ARC) podium-getter and former Rally of the Bay winner, Richie Dalton to attend the event.

The popular Irishman will be behind the wheel of the same Toyota Yaris he drove to two ARC podiums in 2022.

The event as the second round of the Motorsport Australia NSW Rally Championship, the East Coast Classic 2WD Rally Series and the East Coast Classic 4WD Rally Series.

More information on entries and the Spectator Guide will be available in the coming weeks.

The 2023 Lazer Rally of the Bay will take place in Batemans Bay on 29 July.
