Sandown 360 to welcome 100 year Triumph
Friday 17 March, 2023
The Sandown 360 Regularity returns this weekend.
The Sandown 360 Regularity returns this weekend with a strong field expected to visit the famous Sandown International Raceway for the popular regularity event.
Hosted by the Porsche Club of Victoria, the event will see teams and drivers get up to six hours on the circuit to receive as minimal points as they can – with teams rewarded when posting lap times close to their nominated times.
While there is plenty to look out for the event, one exciting aspect will be the attendance of the Triumph Sports Owners Club Victoria.
Dedicated to the classic Triumph Marque brand, this year marks the 100th year of the British manufacturer and the club will begin its milestone celebratory year by entering an event it has enjoyed success in.
Having been victorious in 2021, the club produced another strong performance last year and finished on the podium with third overall.
Triumph Sports Owners Club Victoria Competition Secretary, Michael Kip was excited to head to event and celebrate the centenary in style.
“This year is the 100th year of the Triumph Marque, which is an impressive milestone and we will be doing plenty to celebrate it,” Kip said.
“And what better to start off these celebrations by attending an event we have picked up some favourable results in the past two years.
“Hopefully this year's result proved just as good for us, however regardless of the result, we have decided to record our own trials and tribulations of this year’s event and will produce a short film to document the experience.
“We look forward to sharing it with the motorsport community at an event, which is a brilliant event, so a big thank you to the organising clubs for the hard work in making this year’s regularity a great success.”
