The Australian Rally Commission (ARCom) has appointed several members to a special Tarmac Rally Working Group to help provide further advice on sporting rules and regulations.
 
The Tarmac Rally Working Group has been meeting in recent months to discuss a number of issues, with the ultimate aim of providing advice to ARCom about the rules, regulations and the implementation of any recommendations already made by the 2021 Investigatory Tribunal.

Members of the Tarmac Rally Working Group are:

Michael Smith – Motorsport Australia, Director of Motorsport

While aligned on some elements, the Group’s work is separate to that of the Targa Review Panel, which has different responsibilities and objectives as previously announced. The Review Panel members are Garry Connelly AM, Matt Selley and Neal Bates.
 
The Tarmac Rally Working Group has indicated its intention to put forward a submission to the Targa Review Panel about the future of Targa Style tarmac rallies.
