Girls on Track to open 2021 season in March

Friday 12 February, 2021
The first FIA Girls on Track event for the year will be held in Victoria over the Labour Day long weekend next month with the two-day event to kick off an exciting 2021 calendar.

Taking place at the State Motorcycle Sports Complex in Broadford, the Shannons International Women’s Day Festival will help women of all ages get a feel for motorsport in a fun and family friendly environment.

Starting on Sunday 7 March, interested women will get to enjoy a ride day around the course at a discounted cost before attending a networking dinner run by Race Chix Motorsport.

The dinner, which has tickets available from $33, will be hosted by Girls on Track ambassador and popular TV presenter Kate Peck and will feature a number of special guest speakers and prizes.

On the second day, Race Chix Motorsport will then run a Come and Try day for cars on bitumen, as well as a Come and Try day for bikes on the dirt, which will see females of all ages get some track time on three different dirt courses.

Day licenses for the three motorsport activities will be available to purchase if required, with all sessions to be run by qualified and experienced coaches.

The two-day event will also offer training to women who are interested in becoming motorsport officials.

The International Women’s Day celebrating event is the first of many exciting Girls on Track outings scheduled in 2021 with the full calendar to be released in the coming weeks.
