It was an entertaining race in the latest round of the INDYCAR iRacing Challenge.
Formula 1 star Lando Norris has claimed a win in the virtual world after taking out the fourth round of the INDYCAR iRacing Challenge, which featured a number of familiar faces.

Norris has had a difficult campaign on the simulator in recent times, but was back on song during his Indycar debut, leading the 33-entry field at the Circuit of The Americas.

Starting on pole, Norris kept top spot until the 11th lap when he was replaced by Australian Will Power before the Brit’s McLaren SP teammate Pato O’Ward overtook Power not long after. It took Norris a while to get back to the front of the field, but he eventually wrestled his way back into the lead with four laps to go.

From there, Norris held his advantage against O’Ward, crossing the line just one and half seconds before his McLaren teammate, while Felix Rosenqvist rounded out the podium ahead of reigning Supercars champion Scott McLaughlin.

Despite leading the field for six laps, Power had a tough end to the race, finishing in sixth place with Santino Ferrucci splitting he and McLaughlin in fifth.

Power wasn’t the only Australian in action during the American race with Walkinshaw Andretti United’s Chaz Mostert switching the Supercar for the Indycar, but it was a unforgiving debut for the Queenslander as Mostert finished 20th outright.
