Welcome to Motorsport Australia
Wednesday 01 January, 2020
The Motorsport Australia National and State Offices will reopen on Monday, 6 January.
With 2020 now upon us, Motorsport Australia is officially here.
As previously announced, the Confederation of Australian Motor Sport (CAMS) will now be known as Motorsport Australia, highlighting the organisation’s role as the peak body for motorsport in Australia.
The reasons for the change have been well publicised, but if you’re looking to find out why we changed our name, you can read about it here.
How will this change impact you?
Well, as of today, there’s not much you need to do.
For those with a CAMS licence, once your licence is renewed in 2020, you will receive a Motorsport Australia branded licence card as part of the normal renewal process. If your licence expires in July, for example, you can continue to use your CAMS licence at events throughout the year without a problem.
If you need new stickers for your car, simply contact our Member Services team from 6 January and we will ensure you have the appropriate stickers sent out to you as soon as possible.
As we continue to update the many forms that exist on our website, we will also continue to accept any CAMS branded forms until all are updated accordingly.
You may have also noticed that our website address has changed to motorsport.org.au so you may need to update your bookmarks saved on your computer. The cams.com.au domain remains active, but automatically redirects to the Motorsport Australia home page.
Need to talk to us?
The Motorsport Australia National and State Offices are currently closed, but will reopen on Monday, 6 January. Our staff will be happy to speak to you if you have any questions about the change to Motorsport Australia once the membership hotline reopens on 6 January.
To all those involved in motorsport, we wish you a happy new year and look forward to working with you under our new brand, Motorsport Australia.
