Ricciardo’s Racers is designed for children aged 12–17, learning the basics of motorsport and building their skills through fun exercises in provided cars.
The exercises are designed for small groups to ensure that every child gets a chance to learn
new skills from our expert instructors in a safe environment. After they have mastered the basics of car control, they will be ready to progress to participate in club level events.
Ricciardo’s Racers Junior Drive Days are set up to cater to all skill level, with individual instruction tailored to a participant's driving experience.
The course is held on a skidpan at low speed, presented in a fun and safe environment. Our expert instructors will guide participants through a series of activities on the day to develop life-long driving skills.
An introductory classroom session will cover the basics in vehicle dynamics and car control, before moving on to a practical exercise on the skidpan. Participants will be guided by expert instructors through a series of activities such as emergency braking, turning exercises, and other car control skills.
The Ricciardo's Racers day will conclude with a timed slalom event, giving participants a taste of entry-level motorsport, which they can then go onto access through our network of Motorsport Australia affiliated car clubs.
Safe and suitable vehicles will also be provided for participants on the day.
