Queensland Women’s Introduction to Motorsport Program
Date: Sunday 16 October
Location: Norwell Motorplex
Times: 8am & 11am
Vehicles: Bring your own road car, or an approved race vehicle with a Motorsport Australia logbook
Supported by the Queensland Government, the program is designed for women looking to get a start in motorsport alongside other women.
Set across a welcoming and safe environment at the purpose-built Norwell Motorplex driving facility, it is the perfect opportunity to learn the basics of motorsport and to network with likeminded women.
With a brief introduction to car preparation and car control techniques, driving activities will include skid span sessions and a semi-competitive motorkhana.
While our experience instructors will lead the motorsport activities, women currently participating in club motorsport will be on hand to help show you the ropes and answer your questions about starting out in the sport. The event will also include a networking lunch.
Enjoy the first day of your motorsport journey in a fun, safe and affordable environment from the comfort of your own car.

Engineer your Career
Engineering is the art of applying science, technology and maths to create solutions for human needs to improve the way we live. As an engineer, every day is a challenge to innovate and solve problems. It influences all aspects of our
lives. Without engineering we wouldn’t be able to carry out daily tasks (transport, construction, generate and use electricity). Engineering disciplines are very diverse. Areas in which you can specialise include Mechanical,
Aerospace, Electrical and Civil.

Your Career as a Motorsport Official
Every motorsport event requires a variable number of volunteers and officials, without them the
sport could not function. Officials ensure that events are conducted fairly in accordance with the regulations. Volunteers and officials also make possible that the Events are run in a safe manner. Not just for competitors but for other officials and spectators. Areas in which you can specialise are technical, sporting, media and emergency.
