STATE AWARDS

Each year, these iconic awards recognise those in our sport going above and beyond – highlighting the outstanding achievements across all disciplines and levels both as competitors and those who work tirelessly behind the scenes.

Nominations for the Motorsport Australia State and National Awards will open later in 2026.

The State Motorsport Official of the Year award recognises outstanding achievement as a motorsport official at Motorsport Australia authorised events, or within a Motorsport Australia affiliated club or activity, usually at State or grassroots level.

Nomination forms can be submitted online after Motorsport Australia announces nominations are open.

Yes, the Motorsport Australia Awards are intended to recognise individuals who contribute to Motorsport Australia clubs and events.

Please note that nominations from non-eligible disciplines, such as drag racing, karting, and speedway will generally not be considered unless the nominee has also made a significant contribution to Motorsport Australia sanctioned disciplines.

No, but it’s recommended to list at least one referee on the nomination who is a member.

Depending on which award you have made a nomination for, most are deliberated during various meetings which take place during November or early December. As soon as there is an outcome and update available, the awards team will contact you to advise if your nomination has been successful.

Our awards team receives a substantial number of nominations from across the country each year. You will receive a confirmation of your nomination being successfully submitted and the Awards team will review the nomination and contact you for further information if required.

However, if you have any concerns, please contact awards@motorsport.org.au
